|
The color of Chrome Tourmaline ranges from a
medium green through to a deep, rich "Emerald" green.

Although many varieties of Tourmaline contain
visible inclusions our inventory of Chrome Tourmaline is predominently Eye

|
Chrome Toumaline is found only in Eastern African
countries.

|
Chrome Tourmaline is not treated or enhanced.

Care
|
Chrome Tourmaline jewellery should be stored
separately to prevent scratching by harder gemstones. Chrome Tourmaline should
not be subjected to high heat such as from a soldering torch. Ultra sonic and
steam cleaning could be risky.

Uses
|
Chrome Tourmaline is best used in a well protected
ladies' ring or for pendants or earrings.

Alternatives
|
Although more rare, both Chrome Tourmaline and Tsavorite
are more durable and less expensive than Emerald.
All three stones have a chromium component which produces the rich "Emerald"
green color.

Value
|
Chrome Tourmalines are the most expensive variety
of Tourmaline. They are mostly under 1.5 carats in size and very few would
even reach 3 carats. The price also increases with the intensity and vividness
of the color.
